About Me

I’m Daniel, a UX designer and researcher based in L.A.

I was born in Taiwan, and immigrated to the U.S. with my parents at age 10. As a first-generation immigrant, I’ve always been perceptive of the ways that technology can connect people from around the globe. This quickly grew into a life-long obsession for understanding how technology can shape human behavior and improve people’s lives. My fascination eventually compelled me to make the transition from chemistry and education to user experience, where I’ve been able to channel my passion for creating positive impact for the community through creative problem-solving.

With my background in chemistry and education, I hope to bring a unique perspective to UX roles. My years of laboratory experience honed my analytical skills while developing my ability to thrive in cross-functional teams. At the same time, teaching allowed me to foster empathy, creativity, and effective communication — skills that are essential in creating intuitive and meaningful user experiences.

I’m excited to contribute to projects that bridge the gap between functionality and user satisfaction, leveraging my research skills and problem-solving ability to uncover insights that lead to impactful design solutions.
